Our Behind the Bottle series goes beyond the tasting glass and takes you inside the distilleries, the people, the places, and the passion that create the whiskey we love.

A great bourbon is more than corn, oak, and time. It’s the vision of a founder who took a chance. It’s the master distiller who spent years perfecting a process. It’s the rickhouse standing through scorching summers and freezing winters. It’s the local water, the grain, the history, and sometimes even a little luck.

Behind the Bottle isn’t a marketing piece, and it isn’t a press release. It’s an editorial series dedicated to discovering what makes every distillery unique.

We’ll explore:

• The history behind the distillery and the people who built it.
